Is there a way I can publicize this incedible performance? Could I at least inform a boss about how a potential trajedy was avoided because of smart intutitive police officers?
I am extremely impressed with the work and effort that the Greece Police Department has provided my business in this time of need since we have been broken into more than once. I was so impressed with the team that showed up and protected my business that night. You may be interested in knowing that I determined that Greece Police officers were at my business within 7 minutes based on alarms and 911 call. This is very impressive. However, the most important reason I was so impressed , After arriving on the sceene, I was approached by an officer on the force I am not sure who it was, but he intuitively asked me ( Is there anyone else in the shop besides possibly the guy that broke in. He explained he could see changing lights in the upstairs floors and was concerned. I think he saved a life because I had completely forgotten that I had an employee sleeping upstairs. He was staying there since the last burglary in hopes he could catch the culprit if he broke in again. As a civilian I never thought how dangerous this could be but that officer immediately realized a potential danger and within minutes had the officer with the dog bring my employee outside safely. That is a big deal to me I noticed how he alerted the team of officers and instantly changed the dynamics from catching a robber to making sure my employee was not hurt or possibly killed by mistake. That is what I call a skilled officer. I never even thought about the potential dangers that could have resulted since I had an employee sleeping upstairs. I think he saved a life because the wrong person could have been hurt if it weren't for his observations. what was stolen does not matter but the fact that Greece officers made sure an innocent life was not accidently ended was the most valuable asset that Smart Greece Police Officers saved
